Olive and Angles
This was one of those times where we got to bring a vision to life! This client came in with a particular idea and we made prototype after prototype until we found the perfect balance of fashion and function. At the beginning of this job we knew we wanted olive and we were going to do square. Outside of that it was kind of an open box, I was lucky to have had an idea of what this client likes because we have fit her eyewear for years. So I knew this was the opportunity to add a little bit of flair! And believe it or not, the above picture isn’t the finished frame.
After our client wore this frame for a few weeks we got back together and decided it needed something to push it just a little over the top. So we agreed with adding some rivets in a non traditional way. While fake rivets are something I would typically loathe, she had some ideas that ended up being really cool! So we went with a symmetrical pattern in the corners and across the bridge rather than making it seem like the hinge had been attached with rivets like you’d typically see. And it ended up really giving the frame the feel that we were looking for, a little steampunkish and edgy but still very wearable and fun!
